The left and right testicles are not the same size

Many male friends have recently discovered that there is a problem with the size of the testicles. The size of the testicles on both sides is different. Therefore, they inevitably have more doubts in their hearts. They don't know whether this situation will harm the human body or is it serious? In fact, it is normal for men to have different testicle sizes, but the difference should not be too big, otherwise it will be very dangerous. Let’s take a look at the reasons below.

Why are the testicles of two men different in size?

1. The average male testicles are not too big on both sides, but the difference is generally not very big. If the testicles on both sides were basically similar in size in the past, and one testicle suddenly appears to be significantly enlarged recently, you should go to the hospital for examination immediately. If the testicle on one side is enlarged, accompanied by fever and local pain, it may be epididymitis or orchitis. If testicular enlargement is not accompanied by any symptoms, you should consider whether there is a testicular tumor, and you should check it in time and don't leave it to chance.

2. Among normal men, some men’s testicles have had different sizes on both sides since childhood, and the difference is sometimes obvious. This may be caused by congenital diseases. If one side of the testicle is congenitally underdeveloped, the main manifestation is that one side of the testicle is very small and soft in color, such as a child's testicle, while the testicle on the same side will be regenerated and smaller than that of normal people, so the size of the testicles on both sides is different, but this situation is generally rare.

3. Trauma can also lead to differences in the size of the testicles on both sides. Trauma can cause testicular capillary rupture and abscess in men, resulting in obstruction of the blood supply to the testicles and testicular atrophy, so the affected side is smaller than the contralateral testicle. The mumps virus can destroy the seminiferous tubule cells in male testicles, causing one side of the male testicles to shrink.

After seeing the above three explanations, I believe that male friends have a basic understanding of this problem of "one testicle is big and the other is small". The two testicles of a normal man are actually different in size, but it just doesn’t look very obvious. If the difference is really big, you still need to go to the hospital for help from a doctor.
