White spots on male chest

By:Hazel Views:548

White spots on men's chest may be due to dermatitis or vitiligo, and the possibility of pityriasis alba cannot be ruled out. Treatment can be done with topical medication or surgery.

1. Dermatitis

If the skin on the chest is not cared for properly, bacterial or fungal infection may occur, causing the mucous membrane of the skin to become congested, which may easily lead to local swelling and pain, and may also lead to local skin damage and the formation of local white patches. It needs to be treated with anti-inflammatory drugs, such as erythromycin ointment or zinc oxide ointment.

2. Vitiligo

Vitiligo is a disease caused by insufficient and degenerative melanin synthesis. It usually causes white patches to appear in multiple parts of the body. If the disease occurs on the chest, it may cause symptoms of white spots on the chest. It usually needs to be treated with antifungal ointments, such as fusidic acid ointment or compound ketoconazole cream. If necessary, local pigment transplantation is required.

3. Pityriasis alba

Pityriasis alba usually appears as scaly hypopigmented macules, resulting in localized white patches. Under normal circumstances, local health care needs to be done, and no special treatment is required. The local area will gradually recover with its growth and development.
