In the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, migraine is considered to belong to the categories of "headache", "head wind", "convex headache" and so on. From ancient times to the present, various doctors believe that the cause of migraine is mainly caused by the dysfunction of liver, spleen, kidney and other organs on the basis of exogenous evil, internal injury of emotions, improper diet, and long-term illness causing blood stasis. The following acupuncture points can help relieve migraine headaches.
Massage these acupoints to relieve migraines
Fengchi point
Location: Located on the neck, below the occipital bone, level with Fengfu, in the depression between the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the upper end of the trapezius muscle.
Massage and kneading method: straighten the food and middle fingers of both hands together, massage the left and right acupoints with the fingertips, and massage the left and right acupoints simultaneously for 1 to 3 minutes each time until the patient's headache is significantly relieved.
temple
Location: In front of the auricle, on both sides of the forehead, above the extension line of the outer corner of the eye, in the depression behind the eyebrow tips.
Massage and kneading method: straighten the food and middle fingers of both hands together, and massage the left and right acupoints with the fingertips at the same time, for 1 to 3 minutes each time, until the patient's headache is significantly relieved.
Hegu point

Massage and kneading method: When massaging and kneading, you can massage alternately with both hands, press the Hegu point vertically with your thumb flexion, and do a tight and then loose massage, the frequency is once every 2 seconds. The pressure needs to have a certain intensity, and it is appropriate to feel soreness, numbness, and swelling under the acupoints. Note: People with poor physical fitness should not undergo strong stimulation. Pregnant women should avoid massaging Hegu point.
Sugu point

Massage and kneading method: Press the acupoints with the pulps of the middle fingers of both hands for 10 to 15 minutes, until the patient's headache is significantly relieved.
Baihui Point
Location: Located on the head, in the center of the head, directly above the midpoint of the line connecting the tips of the two ears.
Massage and kneading method: tap Baihui point with your right hand, 10 times each time, to relieve migraine headaches.
