I really can’t give you an accurate answer. I have been working in a community skin management center for almost 7 years. I have seen a girl who suffered from acne all over her face after taking the postgraduate entrance examination for three months. She strictly gave up sugar and applied gentle acid brushing once a week, and only a few light red marks were left in 3 weeks. I also saw an aunt who used freckle creams on the market to make her face become steroids. After three years of intermittent treatment, she finally got rid of the problem of redness and scalding when the seasons change.
There have always been two quarrelsome opinions on the Internet. One is that the skin metabolism cycle is only 28 days. If you fail to see results after this time, you must be cheated. The other is that you have to take your time to regulate your skin. It will take three to five years to heal. In fact, both of these are quite extreme. It is true that 28 days is the metabolic cycle of a healthy epidermis, but it only corresponds to superficial problems such as physiological acne caused by staying up late, dullness caused by sun exposure, and small closed mouth due to wearing skin care products. My best friend got two degrees of tan during the team building last week. She applied whitening essence and moisturizing mask every day, and covered her skin tightly with a hat and mask when going out. She was back in vain in less than 20 days. This is really fast.
But if the problem has already damaged the dermis, it really can’t be solved in 28 days. Two months ago, a young girl born in the 2000s came to me and said that 3 months of facial hormone treatments elsewhere were of no use and that she needed to return the card. I looked through her files when she first came here. At that time, her cheeks were as red as if she had just run 800 meters, and even the cold wind made her cry. Now at least she doesn’t have to rush to her face every half hour to cool down while eating hot pot. This is actually the barrier being slowly repaired, but she always stares at the red blood streaks on her face and feels it’s useless. To put it bluntly, it took you two or three years to make a bad face in the first place. You can't ask for the repair speed to be faster than the damage, right? Just like the pothos you raise will wilt if you forget to water it, it will recover after watering it for two days. If the roots are completely rotten, you have to cut off the roots and replace the potting soil. It will take half a year for it to grow new leaves again. The same is true for the skin.
Oh, by the way, there are also acne marks that many people ask about. I always ask first if they are red or brown. Red acne marks are the remnants of inflammation that have just disappeared. Apply repair essence and pay attention to sun protection. They will be gone in a month. If you ignore them and expose them to the sun every day, they will turn into dark brown and sink into the dermis. It will take at least 3-6 months to slowly metabolize. If you are lazy, it is not uncommon to leave them for a year or two. There are also the kind of recurring acne caused by endocrine problems, such as polycystic or thyroid problems. Just applying skin care products will not help. You have to adjust hormones with a physician first. I had a client who had recurring acne for more than half a year. Later, he was diagnosed with polycystic acne. After taking medicine for 3 months and external treatment, the acne disappeared quickly.
In fact, to put it bluntly, there is really no uniform timetable for skin care. The shallower the damage, the more symptomatic the method, and the more cooperative you are, the faster it will heal. If you stay up late drinking milk tea and eating spicy food while applying repair cream, and also change the famous skin care products every three days, let alone getting better, your skin will be considered resistant if it does not get worse. You don’t have to worry about other people’s “acne elimination in 2 weeks” or “whitening in 1 month”. Everyone’s skin is different and the level of treatment is different. Just follow your own pace.
