The answer is really not black and white. Some people’s breasts shrink after practicing, and some people’s breasts become firmer and half a cup visually bigger as they practice. I have seen all kinds of examples in my three years of fitness.
Last year, my sister in the same department signed up for a 21-day rapid fat loss camp. She skipped rope and did aerobics for two hours a day, and the food was even more demanding. She couldn't even finish a meal of fist-sized grain rice. She actually lost 16 pounds in two months. It was true that her waist circumference was two sizes smaller. It was also true that the C-cup bra she used to wear now has less than half a cup. She herself complained that "the breasts slimmed down first before the belly." In fact, this kind of "fitness breast reduction" situation is normal. Nearly two-thirds of the breasts are fat. When reducing body fat, there is no such thing as "partial slimming". The fat in the chest will naturally be consumed along with it. If you lose fat too quickly and do not do chest-related strength training at all, you will not only shrink, but also prone to sagging due to fat loss and insufficient support.
But if you want to say that exercise will definitely reduce breasts, then I will be the first to disagree. My sisters who took personal training classes with me were originally A-cups. When buying underwear, I had to choose the thickest push-up style. For the past six months, I have followed the coach to train my breasts twice a week. I alternated between dumbbell chest presses and rope clamps. I did not diet deliberately, and I also specially increased the amount of protein. Now I feel cramped even wearing the original A-cup bras. I just ordered a new B-cup bra last week. It's not that she has gained a lot of fat, it's that her pectoralis major muscles have developed a thin layer of thickness, which pushes up the entire breast from the bottom. Even the accessory breasts under the armpits have been retracted. She used to be as flat as a whiteboard when wearing a tight T-shirt, but now she can see the natural curvature, not to mention how happy she is.
Nowadays, two groups of people are quarreling on the Internet. Those who say that exercise must reduce breasts are mostly the personal experiences of sisters who have just had their breasts removed. Those who say that exercise can enlarge breasts are basically chest strength enthusiasts. In fact, there is nothing wrong with what both parties say, but the corresponding fitness paths are completely different. If you have high body fat and want to lose weight, but don't want your breasts to shrink too much, don't make the caloric gap too large. Just control your weight loss to less than 1 pound per week. In addition, do chest strength training twice a week. With the chest muscles supporting it at the bottom, even if you lose some fat, it won't collapse too much. Maybe the breasts will become firmer and visually look bigger than before. If you are thin and want to optimize your breast shape, don't go on a diet to lose fat. Focus on building chest strength and supplementing with protein. Don't believe the rumors that "breast training will make you hard and muscular breasts." Women's testosterone level is less than one-twentieth of men. It's not that easy to build large male-style chest muscles. The thickness will only make the breasts taller and taller, and they will still feel soft, so there is no need to worry.
