To put it simply, special sports are the collective name for all targeted training and related activities that focus on improving the ability and competitive participation needs of a specific sports event. They are completely different logics from the generalized fitness that we usually do casually.
Just like if you go to the park after get off work and shoot wild baskets for half an hour to get sweaty, it is leisure and fitness. However, if you are preparing to participate in basketball sports, you must practice 100 free throw line fixed-point shots every day, slide back and forth for half an hour, and core resistance training for under-the-basket confrontation. Even the supply ratio 3 hours before the game must be repeatedly tested. This entire set of content belongs to the category of basketball-specific sports.
Some people may think that special sports are only for professional athletes and are too far away from ordinary people. In fact, this is not the case. Many people who love to play badminton are always unable to smash the ball and frequently injure their shoulders. They find a coach to practice rotator cuff strength and swing power trajectory for two weeks. This is actually fragmented special training, which is much more effective than playing half a year and thinking about it.
There are always different opinions in the circle about whether ordinary fitness people should be systematically exposed to special programs. Some people think that ordinary people move just for health, and there is no need to pursue special results. Practicing too hard can easily cause local strain. For example, if the original purpose is to train strength for body shaping, but if you have to hit the extreme weight of a weightlifting event, you will suffer from waist and knee injuries. ; There are also many senior enthusiasts who feel that training with a special logic will have a stronger sense of purpose and higher standard of movement, which will make it less likely to be injured. Several friends around me who have been running for three to five years have been training for three months according to the half-marathon special training plan. Not to mention that the pace has been increased by one minute. The knees that used to hurt when running have never had any problems again. The essence is that special training already contains a lot of targeted injury prevention content.
I went to the provincial team table tennis training camp before to take lessons, and I realized that the "speciality" of special sports is really very detailed. The players will even simulate the scene of sweating and sliding hands to practice backspin strength control. This kind of content would never be thought of in a casual game played by ordinary players.
To put it bluntly, special sports are not meant for everyone. If you just move for fun, there is no need to join in the fun.; But if you are really obsessed with the sports you often play, want to make progress, and want to avoid detours and injuries, you can really avoid a lot of pitfalls by learning a little bit about special skills.
