In fact, there is no absolute distinction between superior and inferior. Which one you choose depends entirely on your physical condition, exercise habits and core needs. The one that suits you is the best. To be honest, I have been involved in these two sports for almost six years, and I have seen too many enthusiasts blushing over "who is better." They are all right, but they all speak from their own experience. There was a retired Uncle Zhang in the old community where he lived. When he was young, he wore his knees to the third level and accumulated fluid due to cross-country running. He was dragged by his daughter to practice flow yoga at the beginning. During the class, he did a lot of squatting, jumping and twisting. He insisted on following for two weeks and had to be supported when going down the stairs. Later, I started practicing Chen Style Tai Chi with a master in the park. I didn’t need to exert force, all movements followed the strength of my joints, and I also used abdominal breathing to adjust my breath. After practicing for three months, I went for a review, and most of the fluid accumulation was gone. Now everyone I meet says that Tai Chi is much more useful than yoga. But the little girl who was born in 1996 who was in the same department as me completely disagreed. She sat in front of the computer in the office all year round, had round shoulders and a hunched back, and suffered from severe insomnia. She was dragged by her parents to do Tai Chi. After standing for less than ten minutes, she felt itchy all over and couldn't sit still. She always felt that the pace was so slow that she would fall asleep. Later, She tried yin yoga recommended by a friend. She followed the instructor's guidance every time to stretch the deep fascia, and slowly kneaded the knots in her shoulders and neck with her breathing. After practicing, she could fall asleep when she got home. Within two months, the problem of probing her neck improved a lot, and she felt that yoga was more friendly to young people. You see, there is nothing wrong with what they said. Essentially, the two sports are suitable for different people. There are many introductory categories of yoga on the market now. Basic models such as Hatha and Yin yoga can improve muscle tension and posture problems more quickly. The movement options are also flexible. You can practice it at home in 10 minutes. It is more suitable for young people who are usually busy with work and do not have a lot of time to exercise. ; Tai Chi's movements are gentler, put little pressure on joints, and pay attention to the movement of Qi throughout the body. Long-term practice can improve balance ability and cardiopulmonary function in a subtle and silent way. It is more suitable for middle-aged and elderly people with old joint injuries who want to regulate their bodies for a long time. I practice both now. On weekdays when I get off work and have backache, I take 20 minutes to practice yoga to open my shoulders and hips. On weekends, when I have free time, I go to the park and do Tai Chi for half an hour to relax. There is no conflict at all. There is really no need to compare the two exercises on opposite sides. The exercise that makes you willing to persist for a long time and makes you feel comfortable after practicing is the best exercise for you.
